Friday, May 18th 40th Anniversary for the San Diego Zoo & OB’s Beach Ball
The remarkable zoo in San Diego is celebrating its 40th birthday this weekend. On May 18th, embark on the San Diego Zoo adventures including an endangered species scavenger hunt. The San Diego Zoo has been extremely involved in saving species from the brink of extinction. This celebration will showcase these endangered friends such as the African elephant, Arabian oryx, and cheetahs with a special Africa Tram tour. Get down to the beach for an all-out fabulous beach festival and outdoor music concert in Ocean Beach! Saturday, May 19th Dashburger Festival in PB & Cirque Wings at Balboa Theatre

Friday, May 4th Taste Napa Valley’s Wines in La Jolla & Watch Grease at Chula Vista’s best Theatre

Saturday, May 5th Pugo de Mayo in Del Mar & Cinco de Mayo Margarita Fiesta in Mission Hills
You’re in for a real treat with the doggy inspired spin-off of Cinco de Mayo. Celebrate with Pug Rescue of San Diego at the Del Mar Fairgrounds this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for 2012’s Pugo De Mayo! Featuring more than 500 pugs dressed in Mexican styled costumes, the Pugo De Mayo event will have contests for the dogs in addition to doggie vendors, an “Ask the Vet” station, and a pug nail salon and café.
